Mike Babins

Mike Babins

Mike has spent a lifetime loving metal, and this goes back to the womb – believe it or not, he was born the same day KISS released their landmark album Alive! Baptized "Mike Metal" for the radio – his first on-air gig was at the tender age of 14 – he went on to tour with several bands, including his own, and maintains close friendships with many of the biggest names in metal.  His vinyl collection occupies the lion's share of a Montreal three-and-a-half, so you know you're getting all the classics, modern superstars and rare lost gems that you've come to expect from Galaxie metal.

Mike took ownership of "The Metal File" on Montreal's CHOM FM in 2006 and is a pillar in Montreal's metal community. He also has a reputation for joking around - this is the only picture we could find of him where he didn't have his tongue stuck on a frozen lamp post.

Interests
