Eric Beaule
As far as he can remember, Eric Beaule has always been listening to music. Born in the early 60’s, Eric grew up with the sounds of the 60’s & 70’s. He would constantly listen to records or the radio while doing his homework or anything else for that matter.
When it was time for bed, he’d leave the radio on during the night to make sure he would not miss a thing. His knowledge and interest in music led him to radio for a few semesters while in College. Early on, Eric learned to play guitar, by playing along with his friendly next door neighbor. Quickly, however, the sound of the bass guitar caught his ear, so he switched to and became dedicated to the bass.
One genre that struck a chord with him big time was the 60’s and 70’s R&B and funk. Eric credits Motown bassist James Jamerson, who is regarded as one of the most influential bass players in modern music history, to have turned him on to R&B music. As his interest and acquaintance for the genre grew, so did his CD and box set collection.
For the past year, Eric has been the content manager for Galaxie’s The Blues Channel under Holger Petersen’s supervision. Eric feels that he is very fortunate to be part of the Galaxie team, and to be surrounded with like-minded music aficionados and extremely brilliant music people.
